The Norbert A. Lange and Marion Cleaveland Lange - Trust of Sandusky Library

The Norbert A. and Marion Cleaveland Lange Trust of Sandusky Library was created by Dr. Lange in his Last Will and Testament. He died October 12, 1972. Mrs. Lange augmented the trust under the provisions of a Living Trust that she established on October 10, 1974, which was implemented at the time of her death, December 23, 1975.

In their own words as set forth in the Trust, the Library was to use the income from the Trust for "The promotion of cultural and educational enterprises in the City of Sandusky, Ohio, and the adjacent area within Erie County, Ohio. All such enterprises shall be open and free to, and for the cultural and educational benefit of the general public of said Erie County." The best evidence of the fact that this laudable objective has been fulfilled is the popularity of the many programs and activities presented under the auspices of the Trust during the past 25 years. The people of Sandusky and Erie County are now and will be eternally indebted to the Langes for their generosity and kindness.

Upcoming Lange Trust events:

SWINGTIME! featuring the Jive Aces

Wednesday, November 5 / 7:30 p.m.

Sandusky State Theatre

Direct from London, the Jive Aces (England’s top Jive & Swing band) are internationally renowned for their superior musicianship and spectacular stage show of Swing/Jive/R&B classics. The Tinseltown Jitterbugs will add their exciting swing dancing for a high-energy topper.

This concert is funded by the Lange Trust of Sandusky Library.  Because of limited wheelchair spaces, reservations are NECESSARY -- call 419-625-8312.  Please do not call the theatre!  Also, Federal law dictates that walkers cannot be in the auditorium or lobby areas, but must be stored by the ushers.

FOR TICKETS:  For 2 free tickets, send a STAMPED, self-addressed envelope with your phone number to Sandusky Library, 114 West Adams Street, Sandusky. The limit for EACH request is 2 tickets. ERIE COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY, PLEASE! Tickets will be mailed out three weeks prior to the show.

Wednesday, November 22 / 7:30 p.m.

Sandusky State Theatre

Tickets are NOT necessary!

Clark Wilson is one of the top theater concert organists in the United States, and is also considered to be one of the finest practitioners of silent film scoring. He will perform a concert, followed by organ accompaniment to one of the madcap silent films of the early comedy film era. Mr. Wilson is an organ installationist and consultant as well. He is the resident organist for the Ohio Theatre in Columbus.
